A San Francisco Wedding

I'm surprised that after hiking Miwok Trail from Tennessee Valley all these years that I've never seen a wedding along Coyote Ridge.

It's one of my favorite Marin hikes, takes about an hour and fifteen minutes, and has spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and bits of San Francisco on a clear day.

What to wear to a portrait session

I just posted an entire article about what to wear to a portrait session.
It includes general guidelines as well as specific recommendations for what women should wear to a portrait session, what men should wear and what children should wear to a portrait session.

Wear similar tones of clothing

Think in black and white tones; if everyone wears dark blue and one person wears white, the eye will be drawn to the person wearing white. If there's a reason that one person should stand out, then do it. If not, change your color selections.


Denim in any color for pants and jackets works well. It's classic, it's informal and it comes in lots of great colors from blues to white. It never goes out of style.

This hike from Millstone was fantastic, though.

I'm in Vermont and the color is GREEN!

I was so hoping to see a lot of red and orange, but what I'm getting is green and yellow.
Still, it's beautiful. And crowded!
